I was walking through Target when I found this DVD case laying on a shelf

At this point I flipped out and ran up to my mom and said, “WE NEED TO BUY THIS!” And, surprisingly, she let me buy it.
I recently watched this movie with my boyfriend John. I realized how much I missed childhood stories like Peter Pan. I used to watch this movie all the time. I would rent it from Blockbuster every other week, and I would sit in front of the television for hours on end watching the movie and then all of the bonus features.
After watching the movie about four times since I bought it (pathetic or not…I can’t seem to decide) and I realized how good this movie was for using so much blue screen, sometimes I couldn’t even tell if it was blue screen or not. I don’t know if that is just my horrible eyesight or not. I think this feature film adaptation of Peter Pan is quite amazing. I also think that all the actors and actresses are decent and not horrible. I also believe that the music selections were good as well. I think this new adaptation of the timeless story is very entertaining for people of all ages.
I would pretend I was Wendy and dream about being swept away by an amazing boy to Never Never Land. I would sometimes go over to my friend’s house and we would reenact the movie, and add our own little twist to it. We would sword fight with wooden swords and dress in whatever costumes we could find. But sadly I ended up forgetting about how much I adored it and moved on. This thought makes me scared. What if our generation soon forgets about all the little stories our mothers or fathers told us at our bedside when we were just little children?
After re-watching this movie and thinking more deeply about it, I decided it’s good to have these little stories to cling on to. Imagine all the little children in the world not knowing about Santa Clause, or The Easter Bunny. How boring would that be? If children do not have these stories, are they children? What world would we be in?
I guess what I am getting at here is no matter how old you are, 7, 15, or 50 you should still be able to pretend you are one of Peter Pans lost boys, or you have just set sail on The Jolly Rodger looking for Pan, without being judged. We all need a little imagination here and there. If we didn’t, I don’t think I would make it through one week.
If i get enough questions yours will be featured on a video! :D
That’s right, even though I’m Catholic! Not ALL of us are like that.
As a Christian, what kind of example would I be setting if I secluded myself from different types of people!? Not to get all preachy, but if GOD loves everyone, than I should too. (BESIDES, I’d be missing out on hanging out with some AMAZING people I know if I did that. :3 )
Religion should have nothing to do with this, but alas. :\
